Peter Chase Enterprises is a family operated business in the rural community of Seeley’s Bay, Ontario. Peter Chase started a small farm equipment repair shop in 1980 which evolved through many changes over the years to what it is today.
In 1991 a flyer came in the mail from De-on Supply Inc. (Canadian distributor for Clean Burn Used-Oil Heating Systems). This looked like a great idea. Recycle your used-oil, on site, by utilizing it as a valuable furnace heating fuel. So, Peter decided to diversify and added the used-oil heating business to his small farm equipment enterprise. Serving Eastern Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Arctic Regions.
Peter’s son Jackson joined the business in 2002. Agriculture was always a big part of Peter’s life and Jackson has that same gene. So, cash crop farming was added to the enterprise. Together they crop 300 acres of corn, soybeans, small grains and hay.
Peter’s wife, Debbie, handles the book keeping etc. and youngest son Jeffrey helps out when he can and designed the website. Granddaughter, Charleigh and a grandsons, Malcolm, Sebastien and Jasper are being groomed to help out. Now some animals have been added to the farm. Horses, border collies, chickens and goats. Who knows what’s next. Grampy and Gramma were hoping to slow down, but that’s not in the near future now!
Peter’s good friend Craig Dowdall was a big part of the business and the family for many years. He serviced furnaces, helped in the shop with equipment set up and repairs and loved to drive tractor on the farm. Craig passed away March 14, 2018 at the age of 53. He will be truly missed.
